Since 2003, this partnership between the Philadelphia Army-Navy Host Committee, Philadelphia School District and the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau Foundation has hosted more than 3,500 young people at the Army-Navy Game, and introduced them to all that the service academies represent.
It is also an opportunity for our community to honor the men and women of our military and thank them and their families for all they do on our behalf. Several tons of items for our troops serving overseas have been collected since 2003 in support of Operation Gratitude. This year, we look forward to hosting the game back in its true home of Philadelphia!
Operation Gratitude seeks to lift troops' morale, and bring a smile to their faces by sending care packages addressed to individual service members deployed overseas. Operation Gratitude care packages contain food, toiletries, entertainment items, and personal letters of appreciation, all wrapped with good wishes of love and support.
